I tend to read in spurts. I will knock out 3 books in 2 weeks and then not read for a year. My sister says it’s because after reading so many big words, I need a refresher “Hooked on Phonics” course. My goal this year is to average a book every 10 days.

Just Finished: Wide Awake by Erwin McManus
Great book! This is the 2nd book by Erwin McManus that I have read and neither have been a disappointment. The premise is understanding the importance of imagination and dreaming as it pertains to our relationship with God. One of the most powerful quotes from the book is “God woud like to be able to inform your dreams with the future that is coming if you would follow Him. A dream needs a person to bring it to life.”
Currently Reading: Tribes by Seth Godin
I first heard Seth Godin speak at the Catalyst Conference in 2008. He spoke on this topic and gave away over 13000 copies of Tribes to the attendees. I previously read his book, The Dip, which was phenomenal. Short book, so I anticipate having this read in a couple of days.
On Deck: To Hate Like This Is to Be Happy Forever by Will Blythe
I have done some pretty heavy lifting on the reading front as of late, so I thought a little humor and light-hearted content about my beloved Tarheels and hated Dookies would be appropriate.
